Homeowner Claims

If you have had a loss involving your property, we understand rapid settlement of your claim is a top priority. Although homeowner policies differ depending on your personal needs, most policies protect your property from perils such as lightning, theft, fire, smoke, wind and explosion. Additionally, your policy may provide you with liability coverage for claims made against you for property damage or bodily injury to others.

Our Claim Personnel will work with you and your independent agent to ensure a prompt and equitable settlement of your claim.

Reporting your Homeowner Claim

This step is the process whereby you notify a MAPFRE Claim Service Center Representative or your independent insurance agent will gather the full detailed information necessary to process your claim.

Reporting a Homeowner claim takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

Report a Claim to MAPFRE Insurance Online

If you prefer to file your claim online, you may complete our online claim submission form. After completing the form, you will be provided with a submission number, and one of our representatives will typically contact you within one business day to provide you with any additional claims information.

Emergency/Temporary Repairs

Sometimes a claim involving your property requires immediate attention, for example temporarily boarding up of a hole in the roof, emergency clean-up or temporary lodging arrangements if your home is not able to be lived in. We have staff members available to coordinate the arrangements to address your emergency situation rapidly.

Catastrophe Situations

If the area your property is in is devastated by a catastrophe such as a hurricane, flood or windstorm, MAPFRE Insurance will activate its Catastrophe Response Team. MAPFRE Insurance, in conjunction with your independent insurance agent, has a Catastrophe Response Plan which will allow us to respond immediately to such a catastrophe in your city or town.

Our Catastrophe Response Plan will allow us to make the area in which a natural disaster occurs our first priority! We will focus our attention on the devastated area for as long as it takes to help our policyholders recover from the disaster. In the event of a large scale catastrophe or natural disaster, please report your claim to MAPFRE Insurance Claim Service Center.
